DELHI: Ministry of Railways has appointed Padma Bhushan winner Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International as the brand ambassador for Indian Railwya’s “Swachh Rail Mission”. Pathak established Sulabh International in 1970.
Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu said Pathak had strengthened the cleanliness campaign of Indian Railways by accepting this invitation. He added that Sulabh International is well known for improving sanitation and environment. He hoped that Railways will improve sanitation facilities in Indian Railways too.
Sulabh founder Pathak said that his organisation was keen on contributing towards sanitation and cleanliness facilities in Indian Railways. He said that Prime Minister Narender Modi has helped the cause with everyone talking about cleanliness today. He said that Sulabh Internation will work with full force to improve the sanitation facilities in railway premises.
