Thousands of tourists in Manali had a memorable New Year moment due to midnight snowing in the town.
Hotels along the National Highway were occupied to the capacity and tourists were searching for accommodation till late Tuesday night. Singer Mika Singh and actor Huma Qureshi entertained hundreds of tourists at a mega event in the outskirts of the town and DJ parties with gala dinner were organized in almost all the hotels. The parties continued till early morning.
Snowfall started at 9pm and lasted till 1am. “We had never imagined that we will get to see such a grand welcome to the New Year. We have been greeted with snowflakes and no doubt our rest of the year will go merrily,” said Vikas Singla, a tourist from Chandigarh.
