The third edition of the International Sand Art Festival saw some beautiful creations on different themes. Organised by the State Tourism Department along with the Konark Festival at Chandrabhaga beach in Konark, the competition was different this year.
Besides 25 artists from the State and outside, the festival showcased works of five international sand sculptors who exhibited a new work every day on themes of environment, tourism, culture and heritage and women rights.
Francesca Cosmi from Italy, Lisa Donze from the US, Srimal Chandrasena from Sri Lanka, Craig Mutch from Canada and Johaness Gabriel Weckl from Australia took part in the event. Though not an easy medium, the artists created magic effortlessly.
