Post disaster, Raj scales in tourism biz

The sales department at Le Meridien, Jaipur is working the phones overtime and this is certainly not the time of the year when hotels in the city are abuzz with so much activity. The untold human tragedy that flash floods in Uttarakhand left behind has dealt a death knell to the tourism industry in the hill states with the hotel industry facing mass cancellations. 

The summer rush for the destinations like Manali, Shimla,Mussoorie, and Nainital is now getting diverted to destinations like Rajasthan, Goa and Kerala.
