MYSORE
The National Highway-212 connecting Kozhikode in Kerala with Kollegal via Mysore will be a tolled road. Toll plazas will coming up at three points.
While the groundwork to launch the Rs 585.74 crore is planned on June 7, public works minister H C Mahadevappa on Friday revealed that the road users will have to pay money to use the expressway. Inspecting the preliminary works ahead of the groundwork, the minister said: “The road is being developed to ensure growth in the region. We are developing this road with funding from the Centre. We need people’s participation to maintain it.”
