DELHI: Hotel room aggregator Oyo launched an outdoor campaign called MyOYOCity to showcase the charm of Indian metros and how every city in India is an OYO city. The campaign ran across eight cities in India – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.
The campaign aimed to build a strong local connect by exploring the timeless charm of these metros. Sharing more on the campaign, Vishal Jain, VP – Growth & Marketing, OYO, said, “MyOYOCity campaign was created to establish that we have a comprehensive network and local expertise across the country, and to convey to the onlookers that wherever your travels may take you, you’ll always find OYO’s hassle-free hotels next door.”
He added that urban lifestyles make us immune to the charm of our surroundings and the large billboards put up were odes of appreciation to the cities we live in. “The 360-degree campaign also included radio spots in 6 cities and amplification on social channels where we received huge engagement,” added Jain.
He also said that the firm saw an increase in its app downloads, especially on iOS. It’s organic visits and bookings also showed an increase directly attributed to the campaign.
The company also recently launched OYO Captains who provide personalized local assistance to guests. It also introduced OYO Townhouse – a new category of neighbourhood hotels. The firm currently operates over 70,000 rooms in 200 cities in India and Malaysia.
