R.V. Deshpande, Minister for Tourism and chairman of the State-level Utsav Committees, and P.T. Parameshwar Naik, Minister of State for Labour and district incharge, on Saturday launched the logo of the Hampi Utsav 2015, a three-day cultural festival of dance, music and drama, to be held from January 9 to 11 in Hampi.
Presiding over the meeting here on Saturday to review the arrangements, Mr. Deshpande said the State government would extend the festival with an aim to attract national and international tourists from across the globe. Chief Minister Mr. Siddaramaiah will inaugurate it, reports Hindu.
“It has been planned to provide platform to around 1,100 local artistes and 800 State-level artistes, in addition to top-class artistes of national and international fame. The list of artistes would be finalised in a couple of days. There would be adventure and water sports, rural sports, kite festival, among other things during the festival,” he said.
