Omar slams ‘ill-informed’ Modi

JAMMU
A livid Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, reacting to Narendra Modi’s comment on Kashmiri women losing their right to property upon marrying outside state, thumbed tweets pointing out errors in the BJP’s PM candidate’s speech late on Sunday.

“He (Modi) very conveniently used me and my sister as examples to illustrate a point that has no bearing on truth. Either he lies or is ill informed,” Omar tweeted after Modi’s Jammu rally on Sunday.

“(Kashmiri) women do not lose their domicile right by marrying non-state subjects regardless of the propaganda surrounding this issue,” he said on Twitter, responding to Modi’s dig that Omar’s sister Sara Pilot, who married outside the state, had lost the right to property in Kashmir unlike her brother.
