Norwegian to offer Singapore-London long-haul flights from S$199

SINGAPORE: Low-cost airline Norwegian will launch non-stop services between Singapore and London (Gatwick) on 28 September 2017.

To mark its commencement of operations at Changi Airport, Norwegian is offering one-way Singapore-London fares starting from S$199 for economy class, and premium class tickets starting from S$839. Fares include all applicable fees and taxes, reports ConnectedtoIndia.

London is Changi Airport’s 14th busiest route. Over 1.2 million passengers traveled between the two cities in 2016, Changi Airport Group (CAG) said in a press statement on April 20, 2017, welcoming the announcement of the launch by Norwegian.

Norwegian’s long-haul services between Changi and Gatwick will be a 4x weekly service. This will be increased to 5x weekly during the Northern Winter Season, from 29 Oct 2017 to 24 Mar 2018. The flights will use 344-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircrafts in a two-class configuration, offering economy and premium cabins.

With the launch of this new service, the number of weekly flights from Singapore to London will increase to 50. This translates into an addition of 1,720 (+11%) one-way seats weekly.

Travelers from the United Kingdom can capitalise on Changi’s excellent connectivity to about 120 destinations in South East Asia and South West Pacific for onward travel to the region. Likewise, passengers from Singapore will have access to a plethora of destinations in Europe and even the United States using Norwegian’s global network.
