The Mysore Airport expansion could hit air pocket.
The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB), which has initiated the process to acquire 158 acres required for the realignment of NH 212 between Mysore and Kadkola near Nanjangud, has decided to drop the process. This could delay the airport expansion project for years.
Taking serious note of the KIADB move, Mysore MP Adagooru H Vishwanath on Saturday asked the board officials not to go ahead with the proposal saying he would meet CM Siddaramaiah and ask him to hold a meeting with top brass of various departments concerned to clear the NH realignment project to facilitate expansion of the airport.
