MUMBAI: Mumbai International qAirport (MIAL) has got another retail tenant with footwear brand Clarks opening its first travel retail outlet at the airport’s terminal 2 retail area.With this store, Clarks will have 61 stores across India and 1500 stores globally.
The airport now has over 150 outlets with brands like Johnnie Walker House, The Luxe Boutique, Porche Design Store among others. More than 30 brands such as Adidas, Lacoste, Fossil and Delsey entering into travel retail in India through T2. Over the the last two months, Mumbai Airport T2 has also got brands like FirstCry and British Lifestyle brand SuperDry at the integrated terminal.
The exclusive Clarks store at T2, only the third airport store in the Asia pacific (APAC) region, will be a reflection of the brand’s shoemaking expertise said a press release. Founded in UK, Clarks Group has £1.5 billion in sale with a global business operating in retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide.
GVK Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) is a Public Private Partnership joint venture between a GVK-led consortium and the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The new integrated Terminal 2 at CSIA enhances the airport’s capacity to service 40 million passengers and one million tons of cargo annually.
