MTS may provide wi-fi on Delhi Metro

After enabling Rapid MetroRail trains with wifi Internet service, Sistema Shyam Teleservices, which operates under MTS brand, has approached Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for providing the facility to commuters.

“We have successfully demonstrated wifi service in Rapid Metro coaches. Now we are approaching other metro services for similar facility. We have approached authorities in DMRC, Bangalore, Chennai and Jaipur metro services,” SSTL Chief Executive Officer Dmitry Shukov said here.

SSTL in partnership with Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon Ltd (RMGL) has started providing free wifi services on all trains running on the 5.1 km, six station, corridor. The company is also providing free wifi access on 4 out of 6 metro stations of RMGL.
