In an effort to woo tourists to Vidarbha, the regional office of MTDC at Nagpur has come up with a unique training initiative for youths who wish to make a career in tourism. We have created this platform to train those who want to make a career in this field,” he said.
Provision has been made under the scheme to provide training to 250 persons as drivers and tour guides. MTDC has tied up with a local institute to provide the necessary training. “We started on Nov 20 with two batches. Each batch has about 25 students,” informed Hede and added that besides driving, the candidates would also be trained in soft skills and would be given information about local tourist spots and their history.
