Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals of Rs 1,500 crore from private players in 16 special tourism zones in the state, a senior official of the MP State Tourism Development Corporation said here on July 25.
Private investors could invest in the 16 special tourism zones which were identified by the state tourism department. These zones would provide additional subsidies and incentives for the investors apart from tax exemptions, O V Chowdhury, Chief General manager of MPSTDC told a press conference here.
He said that big players like the Taj and Oberoi group besides Essel World have shown interest and that private investors could purchase land or take land on lease for a period of 90 years.
