DELHI: The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) plans to set up an Incredible India pavilion at the upcoming 36th India International Trade Fair (IITF) to be held from November 14-27 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The trade fair is among the biggest in the country. The MoT is currently talking to is in talks with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) for the same.
Vinod Zutshi, Secretary Tourism, Government of India met the ITPO officials at the India Convention Promotion Bureau’s (ICPB) recently concluded ninth Convention India Conclave (CIC) in New Delhi. On behalf of MoT, Zutshi proposed for setting up an Incredible India pavilion at IITF this year and welcomed the ITPO officials to discuss further, reported the TravelBizMonitor.
“MoT has been thinking of participating at the upcoming IITF edition. We are in talks with ITPO officials for a strategically located space at IITF, where the MoT can showcase diverse tourism products,” he said.
ITPO is the nodal agency of the Government of India under aegis of Ministry of Commerce and Industry for promoting country’s external trade.
