MoT for Rs 100 cr package for U’khand


The tourism ministry on Wednesday, June 26, sanctioned a Rs. 100 crore special financial package for restoration and reconstruction of the government tourist facilities damaged due to rains and floods in Uttarakhand.

This will be in addition to the central financial assistance of about Rs. 95 crore already sanctioned during the current fiscal for developing tourism infrastructure.

The state government has been asked to assess the destroyed and damaged tourist amenities and conveniences and come back with the requirement of funds. Based on the demand, the Ministry will sanction fresh funds, a statement said.
