Kinnaur devastation has HP tourism worried


With rain devastating a major part of the scenic Kinnaur district, the Himachal Pradesh hospitality industry is worried about how reports of floods are affecting the state’s Rs. 5,000 crore tourism industry.

Reports of floods in Kinnaur and neighbouring Uttarakhand have made the tourists apprehensive to go for a holiday in hills, even as the situation in other key tourist towns is absolutely normal.

Flood reports on national television channels have seemingly made the tourists wary of travelling to hill areas as nature’s fury have led to a sudden drop in the tourist flow in the state.
