‘Killings will hit tourism, govt should act’


The Kashmir Hotels and Restaurant Association (KHARA), a body of tourism stakeholders, on Monday expressed fears that the killing of two youths in Bandipora will impact tourism.

“The tourism fraternity is trying its best to attract tourists from other states so that the state develops economically and becomes self-reliant. However, the innocent killings will bring the tourism industry back to square one,” said KHARA president Showkat Chowdhary.
