Jet Airways to add wide-body planes on vital global routes

PANAJI: In a move to enhance capacity and meet the demand on important sectors, Jet Airways will deploy the wide-body Airbus’ A330s and Boeing 777-300 ERs jetliners on vital international routes.

Passengers flying along the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe routes will be able to experience the two wide-bodied aircraft from October 30, Jet said, reports The Times of India.

“Deploying our wide body aircraft on key international routes will enable us to capitalize on the growing demand on these sectors. Connecting the world’s five prominent financial centers with a consistent offering creates a compelling proposition for senior executives, cementing our place as India’s international airline of choice,” Chief Commercial Officer at Jet Airways Jayaraj Shanmugam said.

Jet move to boost capacity comes at a time of booming bilateral trade and tourism between India and Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

“The wide-body services being introduced will offer guests’ unified connections from West-to-East and vice-versa, via India, like never before. An extensive network comprising routes flown by Jet and its codeshare partners will literally open up a whole world of destinations to guests, both within India and internationally,” Shanmugam added.
