DELHI
Jet Airways’ acting CEO Ravishankar Gopalakrishnan has resigned from the post, spending less than three months in the job. He was made CEO in mid-January when Gary Kenneth Toomey quit from the position. The airline had then said Gopalakrishnan will remain CEO till a new chief is appointed.
The Jet-Etihad deal which saw Naresh Goyal’s airline selling 24% stake to Abu Dhabi national airline for Rs 2,058 crore triggered a crisis of sorts over who will run Jet. Goyal’s long term confidante Nikos Kardassis had quit last April over differences on this deal. He was replaced with Toomney, who quit within six months. And Gopalakrishnan, who replaced Toomney, has also quit now.
