Japanese tourists are set to pull a small chariot on Chakratirtha Road in Puri for the third consecutive year.
The India-Japan Friendship Center (IJFC), a voluntary organization working for promotion of tourism link between India and Japan, has been organizing this chariot pulling event since 2011. Some officers of tourism department join the Japanese in promoting the festival.
The chariot was constructed by a group of Japanese tourists with the help of a local carpenter. “We have been using the same chariot since 2011,” said president of IJFC Srimanta Kumar Dash.
