CHENNAI
Many Indians preferring to travel abroad have shown their fad for technology when it comes to booking hotels rooms opting for online booking, in most cases, while others using mobile app.

Rather than making the bookings through traditional methods, nearly 97 per cent of the Indian travellers who were surveyed had preferred to book hotel rooms online and most of them are influenced by hotel property while deciding on the holiday destination.

Interestingly, 40 per cent Indian travellers have booked last minute hotels for same day check-ins while 14 percent Indians have used a mobile app to book hotels, as per a survey by MakeMyTrip. The survey aims at understanding the behavior pattern and preferences of Indians for booking hotels for their domestic and overseas travel.
