A major snag at UK’s main air traffic control centre in UK’s Hampshire on Saturday led to flight delays to and from its major airports like Heathrow, affecting India flights too. Air India confirmed that its two daily flights to London from Delhi and Mumbai were delayed by about an hour each due to the trouble in UK.
“All flights to and from London are facing some delays. All airlines are affected,” said an AI official. While Jet and British Airways spokespersons could not be reached for comment, BA website showed some flights between India and London were delayed on Saturday and early Sunday morning.
