The India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) will organise a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences/Conventions, Exhibitions) roadshow in Chennai at the ITC Grand Chola on August 1. The roadshow’s aim will be to highlight the MICE infrastructure in Chennai. The ICPB is expecting around 80 buyers primarily including doctors and education institutions at the event.
The programme will be inaugurated by Anand Kumar, Joint Secretary – Tourism and Chairman, ICPB. Dr Kannan, Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director, Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation will deliver the keynote address at the roadshow. There will be a presentation on ‘Dimensions of Convention industry and Economic Impact’ by ICPB at the event.
ICPB will also hold their eighth biennial conference – Convention India Conclave (CIC) – in New Delhi between August 21 and 23 at The Ashok Hotel. The Conclave will bring together MICE industry stakeholders together in one platform and deliberate opportunities and challenges before the country in promoting it as an international MICE.
