The theme of the 29th Annual Convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), to be held from September 8-11, 2013 at Le Meridien Kochi, Kerala, is ‘Tourism – Innovations & Partnerships’. The topics of the business sessions are being finalised, informed Subhash Goyal, President, IATO, at a recently held Executive Committee meeting.
Thanks to the initiatives taken under the leadership of Oommen Chandy, Chief Minister, Government of Kerala, the state has set an unprecedented growth in tourism, noted Goyal. “With IATO’s support, most states where we have had our earlier convention have achieved a blistering pace of development. We usher the state into a future of progress and prosperity. This has been a reality in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra, where we had earlier held the Convention.”
