Holland firm to build ‘Brand Agra’

AGRA

Losing its place on the international business map after the demise of its industrial strength following the Supreme Court restrictions placed on polluting industries in Agra, the city is now looking towards Holland for the ‘branding’ of this city as a tourism and eco-friendly industry hub.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his ‘Make In India’ campaign, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was busy finalising the details of his brainchild, ‘Brand UP’ campaign in collaboration with Holland, reports India Today.

Arriving in Agra this week, the Director and CEO of Brand Dialogue (Holland), Willem Woudenberg told India Today that Agra could not hope to continue attracting global tourists on just the basis of the Taj Mahal. It needs to develop a ‘Brand Agra’, which in itself, becomes the symbol of a world-class tourism package, from Taj Mahal to Sikandra and Itmad-ud-Daulah to the Agra Fort said Willem Woudenberg.
