Gyeongsangbuk-do Tourism forays into Indian market

Looking to promote the Korean province in the Indian market, the Tourism Corporation of Gyeongsangbuk-do recently organised an event, ‘Unmask Gyeongbuk – The Jewel of Korea’, for the travel trade in Mumbai. Gyeongsangbuk-do, which is also known as Gyeongbuk, lies on the South East of Korea, reports Travel Biz Monitor.

The event was attended by over 150 tour operators and travel agents, and was organised with the aim of educating the travel trade on the culture, cuisines, and attractions of Gyeongbuk.

Among the dignitaries present were Joo Nak-young, Vice Governor, Province of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea; Kim Nam-Il, Director General of Culture, Tourism & Sports, Province of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea; Jang Seok-gu, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Mumbai; Byugnsun Lee, Director, Korea Tourism Organization, India; Jin Kwang Kim, General Manager, India, Korean Air; Om Prakash Sahgal, Director, In ORBIT Tours Pvt. Ltd.; and Karan Anand, Head – Relationships, Cox & Kings Ltd.
