Goa to sensitize tourism stakeholders

Ever turn red with embarrassment when Indian tourists walk up to bikini-clad tourists, asking for permission to “Please, one photo with me”, or worse, when the men slyly sidle up to the unsuspecting foreigner, while his lecherous buddies click away with their cameras? If the hawkers are bad, these are worse-and the GTDC has taken note.

“This is a deep-rooted and disturbing behaviour problem, typical of the ‘Indian wolfpack’-a gang of men who come to Goa in search of ‘prey’.

The department has decided to launch a massive sensitization camping for all tourism stakeholders-from shack and restaurant-owners to taxi drivers, teaching them to turn protectors of tourists, especially women.
