To ensure safety of tourists, state government has decided to install CCTV cameras at all main beaches in Goa.The tourism in Goa has seen a rise in recent times and with this, the safety of tourists visiting the coastal state has become a concern. Already, tourist security forces and Indian reserve battalion (IRB) personnel guard the beaches.

Already, tourist security forces and Indian reserve battalion (IRB) personnel guard the beaches.
The high power monitoring committee last week, approved the proposal to install CCTV cameras. The CCTV cameras will be installed with the help of Goa Electronics Ltd (GEL). However, the cost of the project has not been finalized.
