Goa International Travel Mart (GITM) 2014, currently under way at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium, Taleigao, has succeeded in living up to expectations of exhibitors. Going by their past experience of GITM -2011, which was a failure, exhibitors were jittery about the success of GITM – 2014.
With the exception of minor hassles, participants were satisfied with the way GITM- 2014 has been conducted. Some felt that Goa tourism could still do better by broader involvement of professionals and organizing it through tourism board as done in other states.
Guitry Velho, general manager at Heritage Village Club, South Goa, said that the event has serious buyers to do business with. “If you ask me, I’m happy that the organization of GITM is on professional lines,” he said.
