SURAT
At least one lakh people are expected to take part in the five RathYatras that would be taken out in the city on Wednesday. The largest of the RathYatra will be taken out by ISKCON Temple from the railway station to Jahangirpura. The yatra will start in the morning and end at the ISKCON Temple in the evening after passing through Ring Road, Adajan and Rander areas.
Rath Yatras will also be taken out at Lanka Vijay Hanuman Temple in Amroli, Godiya Gopal Temple in Mahidharpura, Jagannath Mahaprabhu Temple in Pandesara and Krishna Temple in Sachin. The Rath Yatra by Lanka Vijay Hanuman Temple is the oldest in the city. The temple has been organizing Rath Yatra from Varachha to Amroli for the past 27 years.
