European quartet initiates joint marketing strategy for tourism

PUNE
In an effort to boost tourism, the European quartet — the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia — has initiated a joint marketing promotion strategy. The Quartet is generally known as Visegrad Four (V4) since 1991. Representatives from the national tourist head offices of the V4 countries were in the city on Saturday to discuss the Quartet tourism initiatives, marketing plans and the promotional events targeted towards India.

Klara Vyslouzilova, Marketing Manager, Czech Tourism Board, said, “The cooperation between the V4 countries has not only been in politics, but also in tourism. We have targeted India because we feel Indians love to discover new places and since V4 countries have rich culture and heritage like India, we think it will be a nice attraction for them.” Discussing about the visa issues for Indians, Jan Herget, Director, Foreign Offices Department, Czech Tourism Board said, “We are making efforts to make visas easily available to Indians.”
