Elevated highway to beat night traffic ban

KOZHIKODE
Kerala government has decided in principle to push for an elevated highway through the 18- km stretch of the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka to overcome the night traffic ban on the Kozhikode- Mysore NH-212, which has been affecting people in eight districts spread across three states.

The state cabinet recently discussed the project and has decided to give it a serious try after all the attempts by the government to revoke the night traffic ban, which has been in force from 2009, have failed.
