‘Drunk’ flier holds up flight at Delhi Airport

DELHI: An alleged drunk flier created a ruckus and was offloaded from a Mumbai-bound flight after he misbehaved with the crew and other airline staff at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here on Tuesday.

Officials said the incident was reported around midnight from the domestic terminal of the airport after the airline staff informed CISF security personnel about a drunk passenger onboard their aircraft, reports Asian Age.

They said a team of CISF officials rushed and forcibly took out the flier, identified as A. Agarwal, amid protests from a group of 15-20 passengers travelling with him.

Agarwal, they said, kept on “abusing” the CISF and airline staff and had to be forcefully evicted from the plane. “In the ensuing commotion, Agarwal again sneaked in the aircraft and was removed by CISF personnel again. He was later handed over to Delhi police after the airline reported the matter to them also,” they said.
