Dreamliner worries persist

DELHI
Civil aviation regulator DGCA will investigate the recent technical snag in Air India’s Dreamliner aircraft during a London-New Delhi flight.

The aircraft’s transponder failed during the flight on Sunday, forcing it to return to London, Air India spokesperson G.P. Rao said, adding there are no immediate safety concerns.

“We are told about each and every glitch faced by the B-787s and we ensure that every issue is dealt with. We will be investigating this matter as well,” said a senior DGCA official.

The Dreamliner has faced several problems since its launch. The national carrier has been in regular touch with the US-based aircraft manufacturer because of the frequent technical snags.
