An Air India Dreamliner was grounded in Kolkata on Thursday when the aircraft (VT-ANE) suffered a bird hit while landing there. The aircraft was flying from Delhi to Kolkata and was to return in just over an hour when it had bird hit.
“There is no serious issue with the aircraft. But as per procedure, it has to be grounded for checks after a bird hit. We hope to have this aircraft back in air very soon,” said an AI spokesman.
