Aviation regulator DGCA expects to complete early next month type certification of six Airbus 320neo ( new engine option) planes, that are scheduled to be delivered to IndiGo soon.
Gurgaon-based IndiGo, which recently got listed on the bourses, had in October this year said it would take delivery of 10 fuel-efficient A320neos by March next year, reports The Economic Times.
“The type certification of the new design of the six Airbus 320neos are expected to be completed by December 10”, a DGCA official said.
Certification from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is mandatory prior to induction of any type of new aircraft in the fleet.
