ALAPPUZHA
Nearly 700 families of Puthanangadi in Aroorgramapanchayat have formed an action council to protect Vembanad lake from pollution.They also plan to start indefinite agitation programmes in their village with the help of authorities of Sreekumaravilasam temple in Aroor.
The fishermen families from Thanneermukkom, Thuravoor, Kuthioyathodu, Kodamthurthu and Vayalar have also joined hands with the action council on Sunday.
