A day after Mirror reported about three female tourists demanding state action after being sexually harassed at two heritage sites, the Aurangabad police has sprung into action.
With an assurance of nabbing these trouble-makers within two weeks, they have decided to deploy a force of plain-clothes policemen at the site.
These spots were initially guarded by only one or two cops. But a letter written by these women to the state tourism minister and the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), demanding the safety and dignity of women tourists, prompted police to pull up their socks.
