MUMBAI
Among a slew of proposals to beautify gardens in the city, the BMC plans to create a new recreation space near Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
The BMC wants to create walking and jogging tracks, an amphitheatre and food plazas near the park. It also plans to widen the lake inside the park and start boating activities.
The proposal has been put forth by local MLA Pravin Darekar and will be executed with his MLA funds. “A basic design of the plan has been drawn up, but we are yet to start the project as several permissions will be needed from various authorities,” said an official from the civic architect department.
