‘Blasts adversely hit tourists flow’

Serial blasts in Patna and Bodh Gaya coupled with lack of will from the government side to do some thing for the development of tourism sector has have adverse impact on the flow of foreign tourists in the state, of late.

This can be gauged from the fact that last year in August, over 81,786 foreign tourists visited Bihar particularly Bodh Gaya. This year in August after terror attacks, the figure came down to 58,074. This was announced by former deputy CM and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi while presenting his party’s report card, “Five months of betrayal: Governance in peril”, here on Tuesday.

BJP MLA Sunil K Pintu was the tourism minister during the NDA rule from 2010 to June 15, 2013.
