A Bharat Darshan tourist train from Madurai via Bengaluru to various pilgrim spots of North India will chug off on July 8.
The 13-day tour is being organised by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourist Corporation (IRCTC). After departing from Bengaluru, the train will stop at Vijayawada, Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Allahabad, Haridwar and Delhi before terminating at Agra reports New Indian Express.
An IRCTC release said the package tour costs Rs 10,770 per person.
The cost includes sleeper class train tickets, hall accommodation whenever there is night stay, buses for local sightseeing and vegetarian food.
Apart from the Bharat Darshan tour, IRCTC also operates pilgrimage tour packages with confirmed train tickets from Bengaluru to Shirdi, Tirupati, Rameshwaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari. Domestic tour packages by air from Bengaluru to Shirdi for the months of August and September 2015 are also available.
