The two-day Jalapatotsava at Bharachukki Falls in Chamarajnagar is packaged to suit the weekend visitors to Mysore region. There is more. The festival will be peppered with music and dance, especially folk music to present the flavour of the border district which is rich in folk arts. Chances are film star and Union tourism minister Chiranjeevi will be part of the two-days event.

The Chamarajnagar district administration is hosting the Jalapatotsava at one of noted tourist sites in the district on August 9 and 10. Given that August 9 is public holiday on account of second Saturday, the officials zeroed in on the dates to hold the festival aimed at showcasing Chamarajnagar district’s tourism potential.
