BELLEVUE, USA: More and more business travellers are using AirBnB accomadations showed data by integrated travel and expense management solutions company Concur.
The number of business travelers expensing Airbnb accommodations, grew 44 percent year-over-year in Q2 2016, said the Concur report. The number of organizations using Airbnb increased by 32 per cent and overall spends increased by 42 per cent year-over-year, from Q2 2015 to Q2 2016. The average Airbnb expense was $242, but average cost varied among major U.S. cities.
Concur gathered Airbnb expense data from common companies in an eight-quarter window from Q3 2014 through Q2 2016. The resulting subset of Concur customers using Airbnb represents $77 million in spend and more than 320,000 Airbnb expenses.
A majority of Airbnb business users were small and medium business owners.
