AirAsia India travellers to Mumbai need to check terminal

MUMBAI
Air Asia India will shift entirely to Terminal 1 at Santacruz from October 15, in furtherance of the unification of operations at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (T2) of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), reports The Hindu.

The unification took off on September 22, when SpiceJet moved all its domestic and international operations to T2. On October 1, GoAir will move a lot of its flights back to T1 from T2.

Post this, all domestic flights of Air Asia, Indigo and GoAir will operate from T1, while SpiceJet, Vistara and Air India will operate all their flights from T2 in Sahar.

“This is a move to ensure convenience to the passengers travelling through the Mumbai international airport, thereby benefiting both airlines and passengers,” a senior Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) official said.
