DELHI: Low-cost carrier AirAsia India will start its Srinagar operations from Feburary 19 with operating a daily flight from New Delhi to Srinagar and back.
A spokesperson for the no frills airlines said that as part of its continued expansion, AirAsia India will connect Delhi with Srinagar on a daily basis for which booking has been already opened, reports Greater Kashmir.
As per AirAsia India, the Delhi-Srinagar flight departure will be scheduled at 07:50 am and Srinagar-Delhi departure will be at 10:00 am.
Operating since June 12, 2014 AirAsia India is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and Malaysia-based AirAsia.
According to the airline in view of Government of India’s vision of “improving regional connectivity and increasing the airlines footprint in the country”, AirAsia India has added Srinagar and Bagdogra to its list of destinations. Bookings for all the new sectors have been open for sale since January 18.
