Air India to promote khadi products on international flights

Seeking to promote the use of indigenous fabric, national carrier Air India has decided to use natural and eco-friendly khadi products on its international flights, and has placed an order worth Rs 1.21 crore with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) for getting 25,000 units of amenity kits.

The amenity kits are provided by Air India to its first class and business class passengers, flying on the airline’s international network, a release said on Friday.

The products will be supplied by Khadi Gramodyog Bhawan, a flagship retail unit of the KVIC, it said.
