Air India joins airfare war

Air India has joined the race to offer discounted fares, close on the heels of a similar move by SpiceJet and IndiGo airlines.

The airline has launched a three-day sale of short-term monsoon bonanza offer from April 3 to April 5 at a flat rate of Rs 1,499 plus taxes.

The travel period for the tickets under this scheme will start after 90 days and will be valid till September 30. The sale is on select domestic legs of international flights and select domestic flights covering 40 sectors and 108 flights, according to a statement.
