Air India Express starts flight linking Coimbatore and Singapore

SINGAPORE, 10 November 2017: Air India Express will launch a new service linking Coimbatore and Singapore, 18 November.

The airline is the low-cost subsidiary of the national airline Air India flying a fleet of 23 Boeing 737-800s reports TTR.

It will introduce three weekly services to Coimbatore departing Singapore at 1040 on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The flights from the Indian city of Coimbatore will depart at 2315 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The airline also serves Singapore with daily flights from Tiruchirappalli and Chennai and four weekly flights from Madurai.

Coimbatore, a city in the south Indian state of Tami Nadu, is amongst the fastest growing tier-II cities in India identified as a major hub for textiles, commerce, education, information technology, healthcare and manufacturing.

The state is famous for its tours of attractive ancient temples, national parks, mountains and waterfalls.

Air India Express, a 100% owned subsidiary of flag carrier, Air India, was established in 2005 and home-based in Kochi.
