RAIPUR
Chhattisgarh government will charge air fuel tax at 1 per cent from current 5 per cent once international flights start operating from the Raipur airport.
“The state government will reduce aviation turbine fuel tax from 5 per cent to 1 per cent as soon as the facility of international flights commences in the capital,” an official release on July 24 said quoting Chief Minister Raman Singh.
According to an official, the chief minister announced the decision to reduce the aviation turbine fuel tax during a meeting of AAI (Airports Authority of India) officials held at his official residence here last night.
